I build data pipelines and AI features. I am based in Barrie, Ontario, Canada and open to part-time or contract work, remote or anywhere between Barrie and Toronto.

For two years I was a software developer at metricHEALTH Solutions, a health-tech company in Barrie. I built the integrations that move clinical data between healthcare software and client systems. I automated the testing that let the team release without holding its breath, which cut manual testing by about 30%. I replaced a weekly spreadsheet export with dashboards people actually opened. My last project was a proof of concept that reads scanned, handwritten enrollment forms and turns them into structured records, so a person does not have to retype them.

Before that, and for a while alongside it, I worked at Barrie Public Library. I taught coding, robotics, and AI basics to the public, from nine-year-olds with LEGO robots to retirees who wanted to know what ChatGPT was. That job taught me to explain technical things in plain words, which turns out to matter more than most of the technical things.

I am now an MSc student in Computer Science at Lakehead University, thesis route, AI specialization.

Outside of work I write. My Substack, An Anxious Nomad Collective, is essays and poems about displacement, identity, and the cosmos, and my first book, Toska, Volume One, comes out this year. I also do research for the Roots of Reality podcast and play D&D when I can.
